Insert a Data Column

  1. In an open analysis/budget, on the Format menu, click Quick Insert Columns.
  2. In the Insert For box, select Current Selection to insert an additional column for the selected column(s) or All to insert all columns using the selected criteria.
Note: Once selected, a single column of data for each specified column will be inserted into the sheet, for example: you can select a predefined format of Monthly and create 12 columns of analysis data, and then select Quick Insert Columns and specify to insert a column of budget data for 2004 using Book Value. Twelve additional columns are inserted into the analysis, resulting in alternating between budget and actual for the month.
  1. In the Data box, select the type of data you want to insert, Actual or Budget.
  2. In the Values box, select the type of values you want to insert, Book or MarketValue for the Balance Sheet.
  3. In the Years box, select the calendar year to display in the column.
  4. Click OK.
